Manual Editing

1. The core properties of variables can be edited using the administrative web portal. 
   
   
2. Select the data source you want to edit. 
   
   
3. Click the edit button on the right side of the variable record. 
   
   
4. Enter in the desired values for the properties and click save.

Adding Classifications With CSV

1. Classifications can be added to the application by uploading a CSV file containing codes and categories.
    

2. Create a CSV file that contains the classification you want. A template of the acceptable CSV format can be found here.
    

3. Select the data source where you want to add the classification. 
    

4. Select the ... options in the top right corner. 
   
   
5. Choose the Import Metadata option.
   
   
6. Choose the CSV file to upload.

Bulk Upload 

1. Select the data source you want to edit.
   
   
2. Select the ... options in the top right corner. 
   
   
3. Choose the Import Metadata option.
   
   
4. Choose the DDI Codebook, DDI Lifecycle, or RDS JSON file to upload. A template of the RDS JSON format can be found here.
